What a total beauty! Thanks for the pic, birdgirl! Now I'm going to do some research on them to find out more info ...

Of course they're from Australia! I think it's just easier to move there for all their wonderful wildlife, LOL!

I just read that the Gang Gang Cockatoos are so rare that in the U.S., babies are being sold for $15,000 each.

Are gang gangs more rare than black palms, because they're alot more expensive. I found a place that sells black palms for $8000.

Yes, gang-gangs are more rare. Anyone heared of Gloria Allen? She's been mentioned in BirdTalk a bit and I think she was the first one to breed them. I think it'd be awesome to breed them though getting started could really put you in debt! They're absolutely beautiful though.

Oh, they're gorgeous. I've never heard of them before. Wow... hefty price tag too. Lets all move to Australia and live with them in their natural habitat.... what a wonderful life that would be .... and maybe even get a glimpse of Mel Gibson once in awhile

Birdgirl~
In the newest issue of Pet and aviary birds magazine there is an article about breeding gang gang cockatoos. Just thought I would let you know. I saw it and remembered that you had posted the picture of one.

Peteybird, did you go ahead nad subscribe to the magazine? Now that you brought up gang-gang's being in the issue I bet it would be good to subscribe to since it'll focus more on Australian aviculture probably and more of the birds in that continent!
