Sick Pig

I believe anytime they have diarreha (sp) it's considered serious. You should take he/she to the vet.

Well diarreha is very soft poo, sometimes runny. Taking your guinea pig to the vet would be a good idea, but you can also try giving burnt toast, really burnt toast. That is supposed to help, but I've never tried it for my animals. If the poo is just kind of soft, it should be ok if you give it burnt toast, but if its really runny your guinea pig can get dehydrated very quick. To help stop dehydration you can give your guinea pig pedialyte, like what they use for little kids and should be for sale in any grocery store.

Sometimes when your pig has diarriha it is because you fed them something wrong...or just fed them too much of something.I also sugest you bring him/her to the vet to be safe. I hope he/she turns out to be fine!

Red face Some Help?

Diarhea is usually caused by too much greens...can also be a change in diet. You need to hydrate the baby--use a syringe if necessary. a visit to the vet is also a good idea...I'm sure he/she will be glad to answer any ?? you may have. Lots of timothy hay also helps.
It could be (if not serious) the GP is not accustomed with fresh veggies..and as simple as giving less until the little one adjusts to it's new diet.
Good Luck...hope I helped a little.
