I was at Petsmart and found a new treat

The other day, looking at the bird(s) and the supplies and I came across this treat by Kaytee called healthy toppings, and it is basically dried fruits. Woodstock wasn't to crazy about it at first, but now seems to enjoy it. Has anyone else tried these treats?

The treats that I bought are healthy toppings carrots and greens, and healthy toppings coconut and raspberries. The only reason that I bought those is because the pieces are smaller for a small bird, the other "flavors" that they had were dehydrated pieces of fruit and veggies that were in big chunks.

I have tried them. I also bought the carrot/greens and the tiny bits of pineapple that are different colours. My guy didn't like them very much, but I think it's great if you found something that your guy likes that's good for them. If your bird likes dehydrated fruits/veggies you may also want to check out "Just Tomatoes"...there is a huge variety of freeze dried fruits and veggies and many of them are totally organic. My guy is especially fond of the "Just Hot Veggies" as he loves hot peppers. You may find that your fid doesn't like them as much as he likes the Kaytee treats and if so then stick with it, but if he doesn't like it you can eat it or use it in a favorite recipe. It's always such a bonus to find something that your bird really enjoys, especially if you are using in training as a reward. Does your bird like the fresh stuff? If not then it's awesome that you found the dried ones and he/she enjoys them! I'll post the link for "Just Tomatoes" in case anyone wants to check them out. Also they are made for people and my daughter loves the "Just Fruit Munchies"...when I can't get fresh blue/rasp/strawberries this time of year I think it's great that she can sit down with some of this yummmy mix and chow down. She thinks it's like candy....but I know better!

Cheers, Tamara
