Teaching A Cat 101

Little Lucinda had adopted a stray cat.

To her mother's distress, the kitty began to use the back of the new sofa as a scratching post.

"Don't worry," her husband reassured her. "I'll have him trained in no time."

Lucinda's mom watched for several days as her husband patiently "trained" their new pet. Whenever the cat scratched, hubby deposited him outdoors to teach him a lesson.

The cat learned quickly. For the next 16 years, whenever he wanted to go outside, he scratched the back of the sofa

our dogs were very hard to house break.....when they made a mess in the house, we would stick them outside.....then months later, if they wanted to go out, they would go to the middle of the room and leave a loil present.

now they are mainly outdoor dogs but when they dfo come in, they don't make a mess.....i'm not sure if it's because they don't want to go back out or wether it's because their bladder is bigger, but o'well

It sure seems as if they train us! I sometimes wonder when I leave for work - if our birds converse about how our training is coming along.
