Question sugar glider

Is it true that it's not good to change the diet on a sugar glider?

i would say, that like all pets, you should change the food slowly over a period of days minimum. however if they are not taking to the food it will take longer.

good luck.

Sugar gliders are finicky eaters. They may be crazy about a certain food for days, weeks or longer and then one day, they won't touch the same food. It is more important to keep the diet balanced as to protein, calcium and phosphorous than to feed them the same foods. I use baby foods and yogurt sometimes. I use the homemade BML diet until they get tired of it. I give them fresh and/or frozen fruits and veggies. They get meal worms or eggs sometimes. I have 2 (4 actually, my female has two in the pouch) that I have had for several years. I have had Gizmo for over 5 years and Sissy for 3 1/2 years. There are several good glider web sites and the 2005 Critters annual has sugar glider info.
