Unhappy Puppy has distemper....desperate for help!!

I adopted a 4 month old border collie/basset hound puppy from a shelter and after two trips to the vet, we are pretty sure he has distemper. I am doing supportive care, IV fluid, oral fluids (pedialyte, puppy milk, chicken broth), prophylactic antibiotics to prevent secondary infections... Basically I am trying or have tried everything I can think of. He seemed to make some progress at first but it has been five days and now he's not really getting better or worse. He has very little vomiting/diarrhea, is well hydrated, urinating well, his funny eyes and nose have cleared up but he is still extremely lethargic, running low-grade fevers, with no desire to eat or drink. The only change in the past few days has been the development of some small twitches that I was told to expect with distemper.

I just want some advice here. Am I doing the right thing? Is he doing okay? Does anyone have experience with distemper? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated

You should explore the website for the nonprofit I work for. It's called Kind Hearts In Action, and it has a lot of useful information about canine distemper.
