The baby is fluffier now. We named it Lucky since it was born on 7/7.

Lucky is a good name ... and he/she is so cute. I can just image how soft his/her down feathers are. You are so lucky! Do you know when the other eggs will start to hatch?

I expect that the eggs will hatch ever other day, like the were laid. I think it already grew some since this morning. I knew Pretty would be a good mother, but I had my doubts about Spide since he didn't help incubate the eggs like I heard they do. But I Spide seems to be being pretty good too. They've both been feeding it.

Pretty only gets mad if I look in there, while she is in there. When she's out of the box all she does is eat and beg to come out. Surprisingly Pretty is still very tame. Spide on the other hand runs in the box and trys to jump up and bite me when I look in there. I have to take him out first before I look in. Away from the box Spide goes back to his sweet self too.

That was just how my cousin's tiels were when they had babies. Sweet & tame as anything away from the nestbox, but if you tried anything when they were in it, you'd get hissed at and bit. What mutation is Spide?

Just looking at the parents, those babies will be just beautiful. This is fun, thanks for sharing your photos.
Are you going to keep any of the babies?

Lucky has certainly grown since the first picture you posted. You said both mom & dad bird both feed Lucky - what do they feed Lucky? Does Lucky make a lot of noise - or not big enough to do that yet? Thanks for sharing the progress with via pictures and can't wait to see sister/brother pictures. THANKS AGAIN.

There feeding the baby all the stuff I feed them. Fresh food, seed, pellets, whatever I feed them. Lucky isn't big enough to make alot of noise. It makes some quiet squeaks when it's looking for it's mom. It squeaks really fast while it's being fed. But still it's very quiet.

Does it try to move around yet or is it still too young?
