Kaylee's Great Achievement

It's been really cold here, constantly at night for about a month now. The basement (where Kaylee's crate is) has become very cold, probably in the 50's (F). I had already moved my rats into my office where there's heat but about 2 weeks ago I decided it was just too cold to leave Kaylee down there while we're at work. Soooo....we decided to start leaving her out. We started out with some shorter time frames, 4-6 hours and she did great. Day 4 she was out 11 hours (by accident, we got our schedules crossed) and she still did great. It's been 10 days and she's still doing great. I keep having these great fears of coming home to something destroyed or my bed peed on but so far, nothing. I am so proud of her, she's doing so well!

Woohoo!

I am still scared to leave my girls out, especially after today. I'm hoping within the next year to start weaning them out of their crates when we're gone, but we'll see.

Nice work Kaylee!
