Maybe she isn't going out to explore because she is comfortable there with you.

Or maybe she is just scared.

Freklz is also a big talker.

Are you planning on keeping her??

Hello and welcome to pet lovers. Thank you for taking care of the mama and kittens and finding homes for them, and giving Cat a home. Many cats live their whole lives indoors. Be glad she wants to stay in where she's safe from predators and other dangers.

I recommend you get her in for a vet check, vaccinations (at least rabies) and to have her spayed.

Hi and welcome to Petlovers! I agree with Special....I think she feels safe there and why not? It is a cruel world out there for a cat without a home with a warm bed and food. I also applaud you for taking care of her and her kittens. I just got a cat last June and had him neutered right away, if nothing else it stops the over population of the poor cats and dogs that have no homes. I don't know about your area but my vet charged me less than $50.00 to neuter and rabies. That is a lot if you don't have it but maybe you could check into some programs that would charge less. I really didn't have that extra either...I postponed a bill. The nueter/spay is so important to put a stop to the poor and suffering cats and dogs who do not run into kind hearted men like yourself. Good luck!

i dont think i 'm" keeping" her ,she's free to leave if she wants. she seems to like it here as is welcome to stay ( i would miss her if she did leave ) , when she jumps up on my lap and curls up purring to go to sleep i have to admit i find reasons not to go in to the shop and turn parts for a bit

You're hers now. She wants to be there with you or she'd have already gone somewhere else. As someone said before, it's a cruel world out there especially for an un spayed female. If you're going to let her stay with you, it would be a great kindness to have that done, otherwise you're going to have tomcats hanging around at some point and she might try and go out and get hurt, diseased or even killed. She's not streewise at all, most don't last long out there anyway, even if they're used to being outdoors. Life expectancy is unpredictable when they roam freely outdoors.

I think you've been adopted and sounds like you kinda like her, too.

She's telling you all about her day when she's talking to you.

I found out that if I talk to my cats like I talk to my friends, as opposed to baby talk, they just love it. They are very interested in that tone of voice.

She does seem to fit in your shop quite well. She also may help with moral during the work day, animals are great stress relievers.

One thing though, you'll not be happy with her having kittens, after kittens. Spay her, and you'll have a buddy to help you get through your work day.

I love seeing animals that are 'shop mascotts', I'll even pick these shops to go back to. Something about an animal just makes the day better.

Aww that's sweet. Sounds like she's getting very attached to you (and you to her)

i wish i could go to work with my pets everyday.

Do you have any pics of her yet?

P.S. I also suggest getting her spayed, she will live a longer and healthier life.

Maybe she just needs a little while to get used to it. I think they do sometimes.

Animals do make us better people, there's no doubt about that.

I have 4 cats and 2 dogs. They are all different from each other. My husband used to think animals didn't have individual personalities, they never had animals and the ones he did know were all outside animals kept for mousers and stuff like that. So he never got to know them until he met me. I always have to have animals around, I really love them.
And they love us, too.

My husband is very attached to our cats and dogs. Even though we have a houseful, we'd be very sad if any one wasn't here with us for some reason.

Cats can live to be in their 20's if they are not allowed outside and with routine vet care. If some of mine live to be that old, they might outlive me!

I'm so glad you have such a good little friend.
