who band their birds with green bands with the letters CACP?? I have been trying to locate Sophie the pionus' breeder so I can find out her real hatchdate.

In the state of New Jersey, there is an Exotic Animal control department where they are supposed to keep records of banded animals, birds, etc.

Why don't you look to see if there is such a department in Michigan and maybe you can call them with the ID.

Good luck.....it be so nice to know our bird's hatch dates!

AWW. How sweet.

You know, I was told that Snickers was hatched on April 2nd. I have no date for my other birds. So we celebrate Snickers' and my budgies hatch date on April 2nd.

I was told Marcel was approx. 3.5 yrs. old, so we will celebrate his hatchdate on March 31st, the night we received him.

I buy all the birds extra birdie treats and we humans have a little cake and coffee or tea to mark the occasion. OH MY, we should get a life. But it's kinda fun going ga ga over our babies.
