My Foxy (What is she?)

I was just taking some pictures of Foxy playing today so I thought I'd post some. Also if you'd like to help me out, what do you think she is? We were told german shepherd mix, but I wonder. We were thinking maybe german shepherd and collie, but she doesn't have the color. But I'm pretty sure there's some collie from that long skinny face. She's about a year old. She's kind of independent, but at the same time hates to be alone, and she's extremely high energy. High energy like you wouldn't believe. We played ball in the house for about an hour today. Then I took her for almost a 2 hours walk, and right now she's running as fast as she can around my room and literally bouncing off the side of the bed. We got back from the walk maybe an hour ago. She seldom lies down and outside her crate, I have never seen her sleep, so definitely must have a lot of high energy dog in her. I've had a lot of people at the dog park ask if she had coyote in her, because of her appearence and the way she acts.

There was a dog at the dog park the other night that looked a lot like her and her owner talked to me and said their dog looked just like her as a puppy and had huge ears like her too before growing into them. They said their dog was a collie/husky mix. I seriously get asked what she is 3-10 times everytime I take her somewhere (it's kind of annoying). I wish I knew. All I know is she's an intelligent, ball of energy and probably the most fun and interesting dog I've ever known. There is something strangely different about her than any other dog I've ever know. I wish I could explain it. Any guesses are appreciated.

Too cute! Based on the ears, I definitely say she has some shepherd in her. She has the same color as my sharpei/lab mix so maybe a little lab or sharpei?

I'll be she gets away with murder, just look at that face! I will join the crowd and agree that there is most likely some Shepard in her.

Haha. That's where she got her name. I've had her for about 4 months and still she hasn't grow into those ears.

And yeah, that face gets away with a little too much. I was originally fostering her, and look what happened.

Those ears are so big I'd almost think there's some kangaroo in her! The colouring fits; have you checked for a pouch on her belly? LOL
But seriously, GS and maybe dane or even greyhound for that long snout is my guess.

I suggest checking out Pharaoh hounds. They have ears just like that.

Good call -- would explain the narrow face too. Just think -- ancestors of your Foxy may have hunted with Pharoahs!

I would have to go with yellow lab and GS. But she is adorable and who cares, she's there to love you. She is darn cute and I'm sure a great pet to you.

There are a lot of good guesses here. Could there be some Greyhound?
