Talking The Dog who Met a Giant Cat

Okay, this is a pretty funny story. For those that don't know. My parents and I have saved two adult Siberian Tigers, two Snow Leopards, and now there are three Snow Leopard cubs.

-----------------

The story

Characters

1. Syat, 11.4 foot long and 4.5 foot tall, male Siberian Tiger
2. stray dog
3. me

Okay, this all happened when I was taking Syat for a walk, literally, out in the middle of nowhere.

------------------------------

We walked for about an hour, and then Syat decided that he wanted to roll in the snow. He loves doing that.

He got down on his belly, rumbling softly, before he rolled onto his side, huffed and then rolled onto his back and started wiggling.

[Now that is something you have to see, a huge male Tiger rolling around on his back like a stranded turtle, no pics sorry]

Anyways, finally, he decided that lying on his side was just as fun. He stayed there for a few minutes, and while he was lying still, he looked much smaller than he actually was.

I was watching the surrounding area, just in case of hunters, but then I happened to notice a small dog [terrier sized] wander out of the cover of a nearby bush.

There is 23 feet of chain leash between Syat and myself, and since Syat was being lazy, I decided to see if I could get the dog to come closer.

It was thin, and I happened to have a sandwich with me, but wasn't hungry, so I thought the dog could eat it.

The dog watched me warily, before he finally started to move up.

It took about 15 minutes, but he finally started eating the sandwich at my feet.

Then, the little dog, walked around me, sniffing the air.

It had smelt Syat, but it thought that Syat was a little cat.

It barked, a bad mistake, and like a lightening bolt Syat was on his feet growling and looking around like crazy.

The dog took one look at Syat, tucked its tail between its legs, had an accident, and ran away like crazy.

On the way back, Syat walked as if he had just chased away a huge man-eating dog rather than a tiny little terrier.

Yes, it is based on a true story.

I happen to live in Russia where my parents and I have saved numerous big cats.

Syat is the easiest out of the four adult cats, [one female Siberian Tiger, one female Snow leopard, one male Snow leopard] to walk cause he is blind.
