They are so beautiful! And apparently can talk very well too. Is it legal to own them as pets here in North America? I've never seen one at a pet store or bird show.

Yes, it's legal. Supposedly they used to be quite popular and were in many pet stores...I don't know why that's not true anymore.

I think I heard it's something to do with their diets. However, they are very interesting and beautiful. I will try to research more info for everyone.
