Birds usually pick when there lacking in something such as attention. They also can pick because they have an illness either in the mind or with there skin or nerves. It's been my experience though that picking is a birds only cure for boredom and loneliness, Cockatoo need lots of your time and attention to be spent only on them and they are very demanding birds. It is very important to get him to a vet that specializes in birds they will have ways to stop the picking if the bird continues without a vets attention you may never be able to stop him and he could eventually die. An AVIAN VET can also teach you about your particular bird and the kind of care he needs.

I have a question for you? Are you really having all these problems with all your pets? Do you even have the pets you say you have? Every pet you have mentioned seems to have some horrible thing happening to it. My best advice to you is, if indeed you have these pets with all these problems, give them up to someone else!
