My dog wont eat

I have a 16 year old terrier mix. She stopped eating a week ago. She drinks water but not a whole lot. I'm afraid we are losing her. She sleeps a lot. does not seem to be in pain.

I'm not sure how to tell when she is in pain.

We have had her for the full 16 years.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Everett

I'd call the vet ASAP due to her age.

In the meantime try giving her some boiled chicken or chop meat whith rice and see if she'll take that.

Could she have eaten anything or swallowed anything that caused an obstruction? Is she pooping normally? any vomitting?

Please keep us posted

What are the antibiotics for what type of infection... did they tell you? I hope it is something that clears up and you get some more time with your loved pet.
