it's been awhile

Hi everybody, well it's been awhile since I've last been here and posted (months?), but I just couldn't stay away forever... I started a new account, but previously went by "Jenny". Sounds like a lot of you have gotten new birds! I still have the same ones- my gc & blue-crowned conures, pf lovebird, and 2 budgies. Anyway, it's good to be back! I see lots of new people, but also many names I recognize.

Welcome back Jenny!!!! Its so good to hear from you... we've missed you!. What have you been doing with yourself and how are all your fids?. Gosh.. with you and Courtney here... its like the old gang is back. Theres still a few of us here from the ol' "ParrotLover" days .

Aw, thanks guys. Jan, all my birds are doing quite well. I'm amazed how their relationships wtih each other are constantly changing! Last week for the first time I noticed my two budgies preening each other, and these two have been together for four years! I also watched the younger budgie regurgitating with my lovebird, and other things like that. Recently I had the opportunity to visit the Tropics Parrot Refuge in North Carolina. There were about 80 birds, and the mess and noise level was something I'm not sure I could put up with for long. It was depressing seeing these beautiful birds that for some reason or another ended up at this place because of owners impulsively buying them or not wanting to deal with their health issues or behavioral problems, or simply no longer making time for the bird. If anybody reading this has extra cash laying around and wants to make a difference, I'm sure the owners would highly appreciate it! ;-) Well anyway, thanks for saying "Hi".
