Hello from Ontario, Canada
Hi Folks -
My name is my best introduction. I am Pugpillow because I am a soft place where rescued pugs can land. It also describes my anatomy to some degree. The Pugpillow Gang are comprised of one original store-bought pug (before i knew better) who will be 14 tomorrow and 5 other geriatric and mostly otherwise-abled pugs who were considered unadoptable at some point. But more about them in other posts. I am their servant as well as being volunteer Record-keeper, Vet Liaison and Transport Coordinator for southern-Ontario based Pugalug Pug Rescue ( www.pugalug.com). I am retired and spend most of my time on rescue work as well as research on canine nutrition and health matters. I'm looking forward to being part of your community.

Hi and Welcome to PL fellow Ontarian!
I have friends who have rescued a Pug from you guys, a little girl named Gigi (it might have been Gidgit) a few years back. They love her!

Hi and welcome to PL!
Thank you so much for rescuing the older geriatric guys & gals who for whatever reason find themselves at shelters.
It is great to have you here and I look forward to hearing stories and seeing pictures of your rescue "clients" thru the years.

I don't remember a Gigi a few years back (we've been a rescue since fall, 2005) although we did adopt one out last fall to someone just north of Toronto. And we haven't had a Gidget. Did they possibly change her name? I'm glad they love her, whatever her name.

Possibly, I'm not sure. They have two others named Daisy and Mable, and their names are Keir and Michelle.

Sorry, couldn't have been Pugalug they adopted from. But good for them for adopting a rescue anyway. Maybe they adopted from Under My Wing in Ottawa?

I don't think so, they were living in Toronto at the time, and they were always talking about "Pugalug", which I never fully understood.

Ah, that might explain it. There's Pugalug Pug Rescue and then there are what we term "pugalugs" - pug meetups. So they might have adopted, then attended some of the pugalugs. Since I have kept all the records, including of the adoptions, since inception, I know for sure they didn't adopt from us. But that's okay. At least they rescued.
