Smile Buddy has been found!!!!!!

Buddy has been found! We put a ton of flyers around town today on telephone poles and in stores. Tonite about 10:00 pm my husband got a phone call. A young lady had seen some boys at her apartment complex FIVE miles from our house throwing rocks at a bird! She got the bird away from them and took him in to her apartment even tho she was not allowed to have pets. She gave him water and fed him peaches...she loved him up and cuddled with him. She fell in love with him! But anyway, she called us and said that some other boys saw our flyer at the gas station and called her right away cuz they knew she had found one! We brought the flyer with us and showed it to her! She said, "yes, that's your baby!". She also told asked us if he had one wing clipped! That was the ONLY identifier we had of him that we DID NOT put on the flyers! She found our baby and took him to a pet store in Macon today! She said she no sooner walked in the door and her phone was ringing from the people telling her about the flyer! When we met up with her there was lots of tears (from me, of course) and lots of hugs! Ya'll just don't know how happy and relieved I am that she found our baby!! I have to take my son to the airport in Atlanta tomorrow, and what was supposed to be a family thing is now just me and my son. My husband will be going to Macon to pick up our baby and then to the Vet's office where Loki is. I don't think Buddy will come home tomorrow, because the Vet will probably want to keep him a couple days to get some more fluids and antibiotics in him...BUT HE IS COMING HOME! We no longer have to worry....HE IS COMING HOME!!!!! So THANK YOU to all of you who have been praying for his safe return! It is greatly appreciated! Will keep you updated on when he's coming home for good and Loki's progress as she gets better!

I hope he's doing better now, bless him, I'm glad he's back in safe hands. Must be such a weight off for you and your family, it's the worst thing in the world not knowing where they are and what's happening to them. Pleased for you.

Thank you all so much for your kind words! Buddy is doing well! We took him to the vet right away and he has been there since Thursday. He is still a little weak and a little thin, BUT, we get to bring him home tomorrow/today it's 4am here lol. We will be giving him antibiotics here at home and watching him get better every day! We got to see him today for a little bit. He misses us as much as we miss him! He kept going back and forth between my husband and me. It was just too cute and too sweet. I thank God every day for bringing our baby back to us. I just can't seem to thank Him enough!

Little Loki is still very much in our hearts and we are still dealing with her loss. My husband and my other cockatiel are taking it pretty hard. She was my hubby's baby girl and his lil sweetheart. Today my Prince kept calling out to her and there was no answer. He spends alot of time in his cage now and doesn't really sing anymore. I am hoping once we bring buddy home that he will find happiness again. We will not be getting another cockatiel to replace Loki. We had discussed it, but decided against it. There will be no other Loki...she was for sure one of a kind and she is irreplaceable. So, for now at least, we will just have the boys.

Again, thank you all so much for your prayers and your kind words! God bless each and every one of you and your lil babies that you have at home!

Very sincerely,
CrackersMom
Kelly
