new member... anyone familiar with Chinooks?

First off... is it okay to post a question I've formerly posted on another site, but it wasn't answered?

If so... I'd like to post a photo of my 6 mos old dog to ask your advice. The reason is... we rescued her when she was 14 weeks old and have always believed that she was German Shepherd and Boxer mix, based on what we were told. But now... our vet just informed us that as she is getting larger, he doesn't think she is mixed with those at all... maybe chinook? So... if okay, I'll post a few photos to just get advice. She's the best dog in the world no matter what she is... I'm doing this mostly for my daughter who wants to decorate her room in whatever dog we find ours to be mixed with.... and for curiosity now. Thanks

Hello.

I've sort of vaguely heard that name before, but just googled it out of curiosity. ...So basically someone a hundred years ago had a dog called Chinook that was a husky mix crossed with a mastiff, and he used this dog as a stud dog, and then mated him with his own pups so his traits were strong in the next pups, thus creating the all new Chinook breed? Huh. Go figure.

Anyway, to answer your question: Of course you can post a picture of her, if you so wish, post away.

Welcome to the forum.

Okay, thank you. Here are photos of her. Her name is Rue. I can't imagine a better dog anywhere in the world... but I bet everyone says that about their dog. Anyway, if you can take a look to see what you think about her mix.... like I mentioned, we had been under the impression that she was GSD/Boxer mix... but vet says no? He says maybe chinook? (chinooks can be with floppy ears or pointed ) or something else? but, what? She is 6 mos old and weighs 45lbs, she has webbed feet, and is very quiet, she hardly barks, but she "talks". What do you see? Thank you so much.

another thing the Dr. told us and we hadn't even noticed is that she has webbed feet. So.... anyone taken a look at the photos and have a guess on her breed mix? I would really appreciate it.

To me Chinooks look like Lab/Shepherd/Husky mixes, they're one of those purebred dogs that look like any random dog you could find in a pound. So it could be possible that she is one, or she could just be a Lab x, or a Shepherd X, or anything... She's very pretty though, and I love her name.
