Don't feed your dogs garbage....

We make sure that the rawhide dog bones that we ship out through www.sendadogabone.com are 100% rawhide, Veterinarian, USDA and FDA inspected. I can't believe some of the things that people are feeding their dogs!

Yeah that stuff is really scary...I try to buy all natural foods, there's a great little store here in Miami that sells a ton of natural brands. I think they have a website actually, if anyone is interested.

I'm new here and hope this is the area I can ask about Vegetable Glycerin.
Is it safe for dogs? Would it cause gas?

I have a 16 lb. Bichon Frise who started letting rotten egg smelly gas around the time we bought his favorite chicken strips from Costco.
I don't know if I should put the Brand name here so I won't.
But the Brand was different than the one we usually buy there.

We are on a quest of eliminating but this ingredient mystifies me.

I made a copy of the list. I would have to consult our veterinarian about some of the ingredients, if the food he recommended for our dogs has these substances.

I don't know about that. But I have read somewhere that vegetable glycerin is used to bathe dogs.

I bolded some things in your ingredient list that are still not good.
No dog food is going to just have plain meat. Chicken meal isn't garbage meat, it is made from prepared real meat. What do you consider "clean protein"?

Also, what is wrong with brewer's yeast? It doesn't say "brewer's rice" or "brewer's malt." Brewer's yeast is added for vitamin B.

There really isn't any reason to feed your dog low quality food. There are a lot of good high-quality ingredient dog food around in all different price ranges. Just remember to switch your dog slowly from one food to another. If you do the switch in one swoop, your dog may end up with diarrhea.

Hi
Wendy the Natural Pet Girl here. Thanks for that list. When I started over 20 years ago with my own canines I searched and searched for the best healthy and holistic dog foods out there. Plus, I even looked for trusted options for prepared organic pet foods.
Guess What? I didn’t have much luck for diet blends that I liked!
My solution? I ended up making our own and we got fabulous results. Our vets were even surprised.
So my suggestion would be to make your own or choose some of the brands that I talk about in the following article which will then take you to a bunch of articles that may interest you.

Warmly,
Wendy

I especially hate those preservatives. Sometimes you might not aware that those chemicals are added in excessive. At one time, I remember buying a small packet of snacks and although the expired date is still far off by months away, my dog suffered a mild diarrhea and poisoning.

To say how much some so called healthy and free from dog foods cost, it's beyond terrible what goes in them as well as the fact it impacts on a dogs health.
