The NYC AC is out of control. They euth cats daily. If it wasn't for rescues and fosters more cats would be killed. Cats die because owner was evicted or they got a new baby. Some cats had homes for years. Owner decides they have no time. Dump their pet in high high kill shelter. Doesn't matter if you are adorable and sweet. No one comes for you , you are done on this planet.

"*CLICK links under an individual rescue name. This will bring you to their website. You can then find contact info, which at least includes an email, if not a phone. A LOT OF RESCUES HAVE APPLICATIONS RIGHT ON THEIR SITE.
*When writing them, be sure to indicate the animal id number, name and shelter location in the SUBJECT line. You must include all contact info for yourself, including email and phone. Explain to them that the animal is on the ACC euthanasia list for the next morning and that you would like to foster/adopt.
*Reminder, UDRC/PODR is NOT a New Hope Partner. We do not pull cats from the shelter and we can not tell rescues who or when to adopt to someone.
