Update on Loki!
Finally after calling 3 vet offices in the area we found one that takes care of birds! We rushed Loki there and were told that we are good bird Mom and Dad. The vet took a quick look at her and decided that it is a virus and informed us that is was not from anything toxic. She said Loki was very thin and that we did an absolute wonderful job at keeping her alive until we found someone to help us with her. They hospitalized her and will be giving her fluids and antibiotics. The vet said we ain't outta the woods yet as far as recovery, but she will know more in the morning. She said, "let's get some fluids in her and get her weight up and we will go from there." We did see a little improvement this morning, Loki was able to call out to our other cockatiel soon as she heard him. We had been giving her honey water Friday and Saturday then changed her over to birdy formula on Sunday. So there was a tiny bit of improvement...but not enuf to keep her outta the woods. Please continue to pray for her and her recovery! Thanks so much ya'll!
