abdominal mass in my dog

Hi,

This is my first time posting to this board although I have visited this site many times in the past. I am feeling like I could use a little moral support and this seems like the place to be for that.

My dog Sunny ( who is about 12 and up until a few weeks ago seemed to be feeling great) underwent an ultra sound this morning and I was told she has an inoperable mass on her duodendum. I will know later if it is cancerous but even if it isn't it doesn't look good.

My vet mentioned possible chemo or if not cancer, steroids. I had a funny feeling it was not going to be good news. Vomiting and not eating are never any good.

I will have difficult decisions to make and am wondering if anyone has any experience with this kind of thing.

Thanks for any help
