Unhappy Chrissy Snow - My angel

It seems that every time I visit PetLovers.com I have terrible news. I write this in tears, my parakeet Chrissy Snow just died a few minutes ago due to egg binding I believe. Her insides came out and she died in my arms because when I got to her it was too late. My poor Chrissy! God I miss her and love her so much. I was trying to save up for some hormone shots to stop her egg laying but now she's gone.

Less than a year ago, my Lovebird Boomer died and now Chris. GOD I FEEL TERRIBLE! What have I done wrong?!

RIP CHRISSY! I LOVE YOU!

Oh sweetie I am so sorry. I am sure you were a great Mama to your Chrissy and Boomer. Birds hide thier illness so well that it makes it so hard for us to catch it when they are able to be helped. I lost my bird this month and I am blaming myself. I have gone over and over what happened. I think when we do this it prolongs the transition of their spirit-if you believe in that. If you can find it in yourself to see them at peace they will be with you in spirit much quicker. It will help them to cross the rainbow bridge with a healthy, happy feeling knowing that your pain is eased. Please don't blame yourself. It will eat you up. Chrissy knows you loved her and I am sure she is thankfull of her time with you. Please take care. Laura and Peach Pitt pig

FloodingRain, my heart goes out to you. Please don't blame yourself. You gave Chrissy Snow the very best life and all of your love, every day that she was with you. It's a mystery why things happen as they do; beating yourself up will only magnify the pain you already feel and overshadow the joy of your time with Chrissy Snow on earth. Because she is no longer physically present to you does not mean that her spirit isn't soaring -- and still present to you whenever you honor and remember her with the love, joy, and peace that you shared with her in her lifetime.

It is good and natural to grieve the ending of a life we loved so much. But when the tears subside, may you be blessed with the certainty that she is free, and safe, and well, and united with you in spirit forever. Love is eternal.

"It is no longer in my power to change, correct, or add to the past, for neither the prophets nor the sages could do that. And so what the past has embraced, I must entrust to God." -- St. Faustina of the Blessed Sacrament

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
