Unhappy puppy problems

I have a six week old puppy that everytime she eats she vomits. I took her to the vet who said she had a "mechanical problem". He didn't seem very optimistic, he gave her 2 shots and sent some pills home with me to give her. He said that this problem will probably cause her to have serious problems. I spoke with a friend of mine who has dealt with ever imaginable problem that affects dogs. She had a dog who had these same symptoms as my dog, her vet said that it was "restriction of restrictor" her dog died. (my puppy was fine until she started eating puppy food) she runs and plays and acts healthy other than vomitting after she eats. If anyone has any advice or knowledge in this area it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
lisa

Take your dog to a different vet and get their opinion.

First, what kind of puppy do you have? If it's a german shepard, I can give you a really good guess at what it probably is...persistant aortic arch. It's hard to explain what it is, but it can be diagnosed by a vet with a thorough work up.

Other thoughts are strictures of where the esophagus meets the stomach, or else a condition called megaesophagus, where there is a pouch off of the esophagus that traps food. You will need to go to a vet to diagnose either of these conditions.

Sassyblonde and Draper are right. You need to take your puppy to a different vet and get a 2nd opinion. I'd do this right away. You don't want to mess around with somthing that could be fatal.
