What kind of dog is he? (pics)
undefinedHi, my Aunt found this doggie about 2 yrs ago (wandering around, no tags, etc.) and took him in. He's living with my mom now and we are real curious as to what type of dog he is!
The Vet says he looks like he's part Yorkie, part 'something', but Barney's face doesn't look very Yorkie-ish to me.
Can anyone help?
Fully grown, Barney is about 8 pounds (or should be, WILL BE, once I put him on a diet... mom overfed him!).
Any responses would be appreciated! Thanks.
His personality is very VERY timid (we think he came from an abused home). He hardly ever barks, is VERY friendly, and is only nervous when he's in a car... oh and he's a lap-dog, always has to be pressed up against people. (I thought a personality profile might help in identification)

I think it's an Incredible-Cutie-Toy-Lab dog. I would also say that tons of kisses would be in order for him. You're very lucky.

Maybe Yorkie and Schnauzer??? He is adorable. I,m so glad he,s got a good home now.
Sounds like he needs a lot of love and reassurance.Thank God for people like your aunt, your mom and you.

He looks Yorkie to me too. But whatever he is there is no doubt that he is gorgeous!

Yes he IS a real HUNNY!!! I wanted to take him in, but my dad refused... said he'd wanted another dog and well that was that. My mom is having trouble keeping up with Barney so .... I might be Barney's next mommy!
I am a sucker for hard luck cases (just ask my four cats). Barney's opened up a lot since being 'found', he used to hunker down as if someone used to beat him. Now he's all fun and games, chasing mom's cats and running around the house with fake mice in his mouth.

Oh MY Gosh...What a sweetie,
definitely Yorkie, possibly sky terrier or scotish terrier,
do any of her disposition traits give any additional clues?
