    Can guinea pigs eat garlic?

I am interested in knowing the foods guinea pigs can eat. I have looked elsewhere and have yet to find whether or not garlic is ok.

General rule of thumb is no "starchy" type root vegetables like onions and potatoes. I personally would not feed garlic, there are so many other veggies that are safe for them that I wouldn't bother trying to feed something that's questionable.
You can think that I'm wrong, but don't stop thinking.

If I remember correctly garlic is toxic to several animals. I don't know if that applies to Guinea Pigs, but I wouldn't risk it!
