Help! I've been bottle feeding a kitten since 10/31. It seemed to be approx. 2 weeks old when we found it making it now about 5 weeks old. "Boo" had been doing fine on the bottle until very recently. He now seems to attack the bottle. I can't tell if it's because he is so hungry or if he is not hungry at all and is telling me to take this thing away! He'll bite at the nipple and not really suck. He used to drink a good 15 ml without taking a break. Today, he'd get in a measley 5 ml before he'd start attacking the bottle. I've been attempting to get him to lap at the milk replacement on a plate or having him suck it off my finger but he is not getting the concept at all. I figured when he was good and hungry he'd be a good boy on the bottle. That was not the case. All day long he'd only get in a small amount (5-7 ml) before attacking the bottle again. I would keep trying until I felt he got in a decent amount (around 10 ml). So far today he's gotten in approx 54 ml. I hope to feed him a little more before I go to bed. Anyone have any idea what his behavior means and if he is getting in the right amount? Other than this bad behavior at the bottle he acts the same. Still purring, pooping, peeing and playing.
Thank you for your help!

Well, I'm settling in here at Concordia Home. I went to my new neurologist two days ago and after an examination informed me that my tremors weren't from Parkinson's, but rather from a condition called Essential tremors. ( I'll be taking a different medicine for it). It differs from Parkinson's in that it only affects the hands while I'm using them like when I shave, write, and eat. It may get worse over time and and affect my voice and head motion. Otherwise, I'm coping pretty well with my other health problems and I'm looking forward to the holidays, because I understand they decorate really fancy here!

We conduct market research for a national veterinary hospital. To do this, we ask pet owners to take their cat or dog to their clinics to receive a general exam, shots, prescriptions, etc. Afterwards, the petowner submits an evaluation of the clinic staff and the service received. For doing this we reimburse up to $100 off the cost of the exam and services and pay $25. Our client has clinics in the following locations:

I just wanted to let you all know that our kitty, April, is going downhill very quickly.

The vet ran some tests earlier in the week, her T4 levels are fine but she is currently in renal failure.

I had started discussing this on another thread, but thought I should start a new thread as I don't want that thread to end negatively. Also wanted to give all a heads up - that if I seem to be off or snappy it is probably due to emotions I am dealing with and will continue to deal with for a while. I am aware of this and am reviewing my posts and such before submitting, but I am only human.

Good news is that we met with April's vet yesterday and formulated a plan to help her. Also discussed how she was feeling in general, because we don't want to be selfish and keep her with us if she is in any pain. The vet was so kind, patient and compassionate with us.

After another day without her eating we were very discouraged, however upon getting up this morning and checking on her we discovered she had cleaned out her dishes overnight!

So, positive vibes and prayers would be appreciated. We sure do need them.

I will provide the link to the thread where there is earlier information of what all has happened this week.

Only one week to go before we move into the new house. Yay! And probably 2-3 weeks before I can get my kittens - I want to do some painting and stuff before we bring them home.

I need a comprehensive list of stuff I need before they come home.

Carrier - do I need 1 or 2 - I presume 1 would be ok to begin with while they're still little?

Litter boxes - open or closed? What is the ideal positioning for the litter boxes? I plan on putting one in the kittens safe room and maybe one in the bathroom, I was gonna put one in the utility room, but I think that it'll be too noisy with the washer in there.

I'm gonna build a scratcher/ climber from an old set of shelves I have - the ones I've seen are really expensive and ugly.

I read in one of my kitten books that bonito flakes are a good training treat for them - anyone use these? Also, is it ok to throw them the odd raw chicken wing for a treat? Any other ideas for treats?

If I get two kittens from different litters, will they need to be introduced the way you would older cats? Or will they be fine together straight away?

Any suggestions would be great
Thanks

Also, my face blurred. I don't know how, but I tossed it up to my amazing camera skills. It's just my nose and mouth really lol.

Whatcha think? It looks messy cause I was in a hurry and couldn't straighten it, so I scrunched it. (Thanks to advice a long time ago from Kkye, my hair actually stays scrunched now.) :D

I don't post on here much, but I do read a lot and I've noticed everyone is very open and comfortable and very helpful. So I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask you all for some insight on a rather personal topic.

Next Tuesday I have an ultrasound and doctors apt. scheduled and I'd like to show up with some idea's of whats wrong with me. I don't trust doctors, I could have died once because of them. So this is what's going on, I can't believe im spilling this.

I haven't had my period since September, I've had a blood test and I'm not pregnant. I urinate CONSTANTLY. I have really bad acne for no apparent reason, I don't usualy get acne. The girls are tender. I've been having lower abnominal pain. Exhaustion when I've had good rest. Back pain in the kidney area. A bit of nausea. Some of the things may be irrelivant I'm not sure but so much that's not normal is happening. I'm not really stressed out, I've actualy been less stressed out over the last few months.

So if anyone has any idea's on wth could be wrong with me, I'd love to hear them.

Mac and Rufus. Rufus is trying to get Mac to play. Mac is busy being lazy.

Shadow's birthday last month. We feed them properly, honest! But, on their birthdays they get fried chicken. Of course, with five dogs now, the fried chicken dinners are becoming more frequent... Shadow is waiting for her turn. Judy is standing. She can actually stand and twirl now. Sometimes.

Taiyo, the newest member. I had always heard Saints are goofy. Yeah. They are.

Prior to our early morning exercise and breakfast. They love the early morning. Me, not so much.

A pack meeting, minus Judy. She's probably found a stick or is eating something she shouldn't. She's our first Lab and, wow, is she food-motivated.

That's them!
