Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I noticed greyish/white spots on my cats' right eyeball. After taking her to the vet, he prescribed eyes drops - Gentamicin Sulfate (an antibiotic). However after using these drops for the last week and a half, no fading of the spots has occurred. Any thoughts/help?
Thanks,
Evelyn

Hi Evelyn and welcome to the board :)

Did your vet schedule you for a follow-up appt for this eye?. I think I would call the Vet back and let him know, maybe take her back in. I have no idea what the spots could be. Sorry Im not much help.... best of luck to you.

How did the Vet appt go?. I'm curious what these spots are. I hope she's doing better.

Hi Squawks,
I have an appt. on Sept. 23 with an eye clinic in Norwalk, CT. They come highly recommended from my vet. I'll keep you informed. She's doing well. Happy & energetic. Thanks again.

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for your concern,

The eye specailist has concluded, after many tests, that my cat has a condition called Florida Spots. Cmmon to animals born and raised in warm & humid weather. My cats spent her first 2 years in the caribbean. If anyone has information on this condition, please feel free to share.

Thank you for your concern,

Hi I'm new on here. I know the last post was a while ago, but I was wondering if you had any luck treating your cats eye. My cat has 3 Florida spots on her left eye, and I was looking for a way to help her. Thanks in advance.:)

They are thought to be caused by a virus and they are sometimes seen in cats with depressed immune systems, like those with feline AIDS. If you want to help your cat, you might get bloodwork done to see if there is anything else going on.
