Hi, i am new to the forum but would like to ask a about my rottie.....he is nine years old and in pretty good health but within the last year he has had a hard time with his bowels.....it sometimes bulges out after he can't go......i don't walk him alot lately because of the heat and my work.....i know that can have alot to do with it as we get older.....but is there anything i can give him without worrying about him getting to loose??.....i know he has lime disease from the vet taking blood sample....he is doing alright with his joints not hurting as he said they would as he gets older.....i would be happy with any information you have.....thanks again....mhouston

I'm sorry I don't know any home remedies but please make sure that your dog is not dehydrated. Pinch the back skin and see if it quickly snaps back or goes back slowly. If it goes back slowly than he is dehydrated. If he is than make sure he drinks everyday or switch him to pedialyte every now and than to boost his rehydration.

Thanks for the reply....I know he is drinking really good....that is one thing I always try to watch for.....he eats alittle less because of the heat....but all in all he is active and happy.....
