PIT BULL RALLY
The City of Denver currently has a ban on “pit bulls”, and the City of Aurora is proposing a ban. Whether you are a lover of the bully breed or just against government imposing unconstitutional laws, please join us at the rally.
250+ INNOCENT FAMILY PETS DESTROYED SINCE MAY 9TH, 2005
OPPOSE breed-specific legislation (BSL) and join the fight against the City of Aurora pit bull ban. BSL continues to spread even after studies have proven it’s ineffective. BSL is ruinously expensive for a city to implement and enforce. Determining a dog's breed or mix is extremely difficult, often resulting in mistaken identities and ensuing lawsuits. It increases the financial burden on taxpayers, animal shelters, and animal control agencies. It affects dogs based on appearance, not temperament. It does not stop dog attacks or bites. It does not stop irresponsible owners or dissuade criminals. It does not educate anyone about proper dog care.
Just some of the groups opposed to breed specific legislation:
* The Humane Society of the United States · American Kennel Club
* American Veterinary Medical Association · United Kennel Club
* Centers for Disease Control and Prevention · Denver Dumb Friends League
