Well, yesterday Lulu got her first look at goats, pigs, a small fallow deer, peacocks, sheep, chickens, and an Emu! I took my 2 younger sisters (they are both mentally handicapped and I have legal custody of them) to a local park that has a petting zoo of sorts. Of course, Lulu had to go along. I have been battling sciatica for over a month and am unable to walk much, so Lulu and I stayed in the van while the 'girls' petted the critters. I parked directly in front of the enclosure where the animals are, so Lulu and I had a purrfect view. Her little body trembled with excitement at seeing these strange creatures! Her little mouth moved as if she was trying to talk to me. She looked at me as if to say, "Momma, what are they, and why can't I go play with them??" Each time one of the goats would 'talk' she would almost wet herself with excitement!! All in all, it was a very good trip and Lulu's horizon has been broadened. :)
