If your pet is scared of the fireworks and gets all upset you can give them Benadyl (over the counter people med in pill form). 1- 25 mg tablet of Benadryl for 25 lb. dogs and 2- for 50 lbs and over. CALL AND CHECK WITH A VET FIRST!!! DO NOT GIVE MORE THAN 2 PILLS!!!
It quieted down my moms dog who always gets very scared and paces all night.
Works great!!! PLEASE CHECK WITH VET BEFORE TRYING THOUGH!!! :)

What a great idea! My daughter's dog is really frightened by thunder storms. The poor dog gets so upset it will follow you around an air conditioned house whining and panting like it's 100° in there.
I'll have to tell my daughter about this.
