My new baby is here. As soon as he met the female he ran over and got as close to her as he possibly could. She turned around, grabbed his beak, and tried to feed him. It was love at first sight. All they do is stand together and preen, unless he wants to eat or see me. He is soooo sweet.

They are so adorable! How likely is it for conures to like each other at first site? Is it a rare thing or pretty common? I know other species (like greys for instance), it is hit or miss and a lot of times they would not even get alone with each other. Great pictures!!

He is just adorable and how wonderful that they hit it off so well. Awesome pics!
so what do you think of the cinnamon (appearance wise), now that you've seen it in person?
BTW, I have the same stand, same color.

I think he's beautiful. Like I said with the yellow-side, they really are prettier in person than they are in pictures.

Peanut looks just our green cheeks, except for the yellow around the red area on her stomach. Butter looks to be more light green from the picture. In the pic where they are touching beaks Butter looked like a quaker almost. I had to look twice. Is there somewhere on Butter that is cinnamon in color? I just love seeing the two of them together. Are you keeping them in the same cage?

He does look a little like a quaker. I was thinking that yesterday. I believe the cinnamon mutation is just the absence of black in the feathers, so he just looks lighter and the black head of most green cheeks is almost white on him. They are not caged together right now. Peanut loves him, but not in HER cage, and his cage isn't really isn't big enough for the two of them. We are going to build a large cage for the two of them, and when that is up they will move in there together.
