This pic is the first colored feather I have found of his, just an hour ago. His feathers are so beautiful and full, but he has tons of pins. I have been helping him with them by gently massaging the area to help with the quills. He loves this and practically goes to sleep...lol. I put it next to my mouse cover so you can guage the size better. Isn't it cute... :p

What a beautiful green feather! Is Luther having fun yet with Bullet? or are they still getting to know one another? Boy I need to start reading up on birds so I can hold a semi-decent convesation with my friends here.

Very pretty feather Mags. I always love how they are half one color and half another. Einstein has lost two tail feathers in the last couple of days. Must be that time of year.

Luther is no longer concerned that Bullet can speak louder than he can....lol. They had a jabbering session a little while ago and Luther won. He is the King jabberer... :D

Bullet hasn't lost any feathers since she came home last Saturday. Makes me believe she is not plucking, which is a wonderful thing. Her skin seems to be more supple looking, but it's too early to tell with only a few baths under her wing.. ;)

I read you were feeding her almonds. Where did you decide was safest place to get them from?

Joe got some from Wild Oats. It is a health food stor out here. All of their products are organically grown and do not have any preservatives. I have to blend it with her veggies, because she doesn't like whole almonds yet. Luther loves them.....of course he is a little chow-hound if he sees me eat it. She is a lot more picky with what she will eat.

What a pretty feather! Spike has been losing a few feathers here & there too. Must be that molting time of year for all birds.
