My Hyacinth...

Ok ok, so it's not really my hyacinth, but I can still pretend. I took these pictures today at plant world. This is the hyacinth me and my mom want.

No news yet. My mom will see the lady at work tomorrow, and we'll see if they decide whether or not to sell it. They sold there other two hyacinths when someone made them an offer, so there is a chance. My mom isn't acting like she's kidding. We may be inheriting 40 acres in arizonia. My mom says we can move out there and breed macaws. It's just so funny to me because my mom is not a pet person at all. She said no more pets ever when I move out. Now she wants a macaw for herself. She plays with the birds everyday. She even cooks for them, and thinks of ways to customize things in the house to their liking. She's starting to get like me.

No, it's not an aviary. They live at a plant nursery. They have flight cages for them to go in at night. They are loose during the day. They all have their own play areas. All the birds are outside. In the summer they get misters and in the winter they all have shelter with a heat light above it. I think they have people who take them home if the weather is real bad.

Good grief shockadine I saw you thread and couldn't believe my eyes. Thought --- oh my gosh she actually got it! Sounds like you may get the bird. How exciting. BTW I like your avatar. What type of parrot is that in the bottom right hand corner -- light green one -- that one just steals my heart. Don't know why. Wow acreage in Arizona, that would great if you got to breed macaws.

Oh, what a beautiful Hyacinth!!.. Jaylene... you really do need your toes.. so I'd be willing to bring it home with me... it'll be right at home with my B&G, Scarlet and Umbrella!!! haahhahahahaahahaha.That would be so kewl if you got it!. Keep us updated.

Ditto that statement!. I'd give my left arm and right leg for one :D . We priced them a few years back... wow, you can buy a nice car for the price they want for them :eek: . I just keep waiting for one to come into rescue... but I haven't seen one yet.....they call them the gentle giants maybe thats why.

She is beautiful, and I'd like to breed them someday, but I don't think now is a good time for us to get a hy. I'm just letting myself dream a little bit. She's at breeding age, and we can't breed macaws at this house, and even if we get the property it will probably be a while. There just isn't the room, and the neighbors would kill us. I think Jason should buy her. Her and Cleo would be cute together. A hyacinth is enough to make any bird lover a little nuts, but I think I'd really like to wait for one of Scooter and Sam's babies.

Jason-Did you ever show Cleo the pictures? Does he think she's cute?

I think Cleo would really like her. He was bobbing his head very excitedly. He may have just been answering the voices in his head though.
She's a great looking bird. Does she have a name?
Here's an idea- You should buy her FOR me. My birthday is coming up. You'd be the best friend I've ever had. I'll even give you a baby from them for your birthday.
In the meantime, I think I'll list one of my kidneys on ebay so I can pay for her.....
All kidding aside, pm me with what you find out if your mom decides not to buy her. I just may have to do some rearranging for that.
