Just heard on the news, didn't get it all but the guy who wanted to have virual hunting, where you could shoot animals on your computer & this moron would shoot the animal for real from his ranch, was voted down! :)
Not sure who or how it was voted, but bottom line is, I caught enough on the news to know there not going to allow it!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry to say folks, but i'm pro hunting
But again.....only if its a fair hunt,
That this idiot just sits in his little balcony or whatever and guns down animals who are being cared for by humans makes ethical hunters angry! and gives us bad names.

And the the whole idea of getting out into nature is being muted by virtual hunters,

How is it ever fair?... 1 animal has a gun... 1 animal don't

sorry, john, i figured i would offend you.
Its true, one animal has a gun and the other doesnt.
one animal also has senses that the other doesnt. He can smell, hear and sense something the other animal cant.

One animal has equipped limbs for their home terrains. The other animal (some of those overly rich animals, have the means to equip themselves for terrain, however, i am not one of those animals. I prefer the walk or a horse, though i dont have one) if its a humane hunt, doesnt have these advantages.

One animal can cover ground in a far faster fashion than the animal with a gun, we're talking square miles of territory.....most hunters dont train for marathons b4 going out to hunt. and good hunters rely on tracking, learning footprints, broken shrubbage, trails. Its not as easy as just having a gun....if it were, i'm sure any fool could do it. handling a gun isnt as easy as some would think it is, there is knowledge that should be acquired to safely handle a weapon.

One animal may not have a gun....one animal may have a bow
or a muzzle loader.

I'm sure this wont change your perspective of hunting, or possibly raise your opinion of me, but i wouldnt kill anything that i wouldnt eat; its far too expensive to go on every hunt during a season, but one kill in a season will put as much meat in my freezer as going shopping in a 6 mo period, and i work a little harder for that meat....they dont have shopping carts to bring 100 plus pounds of meat back down to camp. There is no plastic wrappers and foam trays thrown in my garbage can and the meat is much leaner than any farm raised cow (though, evil that i am, i eat that too).

But i wouldnt sit on my wide end and shoot at a grazing animal thats been fenced in an exotic compound.....thats murder.

Again, sorry that we disagree
I'm a petlover....my pets have names & personalities and thats what voids them as fair game. oh yeah, and i put out money to feed them and house them.

What I have never, ever been able to understand is how you ( I don't mean you personally) can love a dog or cat to death, cry your eyes out when something happens to it, and on the other hand, kill & gut a deer or skin a squirrel. I don't understand the difference. Other then someone came up with the ideal of what we kill and eat & what we dont.. in this country anyway.... some places love eating dog.

Forget what man has said. What is the difference between a dog & a deer... a cat & a squirrel ....... they all have 4 legs, a brain a heart and are beautiful. who said which are to be hunted and which are not?

Lets not forget rabbits, which are both pets & hunted

What about that guy in who wanted to allow hunting of stray cats,

I'm sorry, I just can't understand killing any animal. Lord knows people do a good enough job killing other people... Guess it's just man's need to kill,

well, its a simple idea...it applies to children too, you care for their welfare and your are their main caretaker....without you, they cant eat, find shelter for themselves and they dont learn important social things (like family members dont poop on the carpet.) i know them personally....they have a name.

Other then someone came up with the ideal of what we kill and eat & what we dont.. in this country anyway.... some places love eating dog.

True, we as humans can get by on eating plants, but naturally we have been (whether some would like to admit it or not) through years of evolution omnivors, we have teeth that are made for ripping and tearing flesh. I'm guessing that if one vegetarian marries another and creates generation after generation of vegetarians, after so many thousands of years, our species will adapt by being created with flat surfaced teeth. My ancestors were Native Indians, and they were providers for their people by hunting. No, it is no longer necessary to kill several bison to have a warm pelt over your back during cold months but i still hunt with that same respect of not taking more than is needed.

Forget what man has said. What is the difference between a dog & a deer... a cat & a squirrel ....... they all have 4 legs, a brain a heart and are beautiful. who said which are to be hunted and which are not?

Lets not forget rabbits, which are both pets & hunted ,

The difference once again is a simple one,
I dont raise my childeren or my animals to slaughter them and put them on my table. Not rabbits, horses, even if i had a pet deer, i wouldnt kill it. I dont want to know the name or the animal personally thats on my plate for nourishment, would be a bit like the Donder Party.
You may bring up survival at this point John,
The meat in my freezer is feeding my childeren, I make 11.00/hour and get a 1000.00 per month for 3 childeren
too much for welfare, and not enough to buy any more than ground beef, and lets not mention how expensive fresh fruits and vegetables are. That meat is helping us to survive...are you going to put us down for that?

What about that guy in who wanted to allow hunting of stray cats,
Read my comments in that thread, I do not condone that! I wouldnt eat the cat, and i dont think he would either, plus there are other solutions to colonies of feral cats, (costly ones, but solutions none the less) Yes, I hunt and kill animals, I also eat them, they arent dying for sport or bragging rights or for a decoration in my house. i guess i'm just not so quick to give up all of my family roots and traditions to progress.

I'm sorry, I just can't understand killing any animal. Lord knows people do a good enough job killing other people... Guess it's just man's need to kill,
and thats a fair statement for you, you dont eat meat, and if you killed an animal and didnt eat it....well, i would have to lose respect for you.

I know you have good intentions for a lot of animals that you help, John. And its a good thing for a lot of animals and people out there. I'm not trying to convince you to hunt nor would i serve you any meat at my table out of respect for your personal values and morals.

Like i said...we just disagree on the amount of rights and what animals should recieve those rights.

I do understand your point though, you got to do what you got to do.
at least your not the 300lb hunters who eat to much as it is. and hunt more for the fun & rack than food

People can live without meat, fruits & vegetables while expensive are still cheaper then meat. theres most pasta. And was going to say all those fake meats products like veggie burgers but there more expensive then meat  But hey never mind thats just me! These kind of debates go on forever & nothing changes LOL

One more thing......... how can you do quote then answer, then quote again & answer again like you just did? I can't figure out how to do that. LOL :D

I can only quote one thing per post

I can't figure out how to do that. LOL :D

I can only quote one thing per post

you hit the Quote button....and before and after each part of the quote your answering to, you make sure the are on either side of the part you want quoted.

does that make sense? No it doesnt, i just looked at my post.......i'll type it out....

Now share with me how you and Magnum insert the emoticons in the middle of your posts.
at the beginning of each quote you want to use you type "bracketQUOTE=d_broncochickBracket" or whoever your quoting....and at the end of the wanted quote....."Bracket/QUOTEBracket" you know [ that is a bracket]

What IS it with people who do that?? Honestly, I think they've got a screw loose. Don't they know that how we treat animals is indicative of how we treat ourselves and one another??

I'm SO glad you guys understand... people have called me hypersensitive where it comes to animals' welfare but how can you measure that? If something is wrong, it's WRONG. And inflicting pain on helpless creatures is WRONG. I don't know why some people don't see that. But then, not all people are compassionate.

We'll keep fighting!!!!!!!!!!

Hm, I was just personally glad that on that bill it said bird or mammal! This is great news, as this really needed to be stopped.

On the hunting subject, my view is simple: I hate it. :)
Unless you have to either hunt or starve, it is completely wrong. Hunting as a sport.. psshh.. what BS.
