Ask Farm Fresh to End Support of Cruel Circus

In a desperate attempt to boost attendance, Ringling Bros. partnered with grocery store chain Farm Fresh to promote its most recent appearances in Norfolk, Virginia.

Ringling's animal care history is riddled with USDA violations, penalties, and warnings. Just this past summer, three Ringling horses were killed, a baby elephant named Riccardo was destroyed, and a lion named Clyde died while traveling from Phoenix to Fresno when temperatures soared to over 109 degrees and the trainmaster refused repeated requests to stop the trains and water the lions.

PETA sent letters of complaint and video footage to Farm Fresh President Ron Dennis but has received no commitment from the company to terminate its sponsorship of the circus. Please help by letting Farm Fresh know that when it promotes Ringling, it is endorsing cruelty.

Our campaign will suffer if correspondence is impolite:

Mr. Dennis,

I am sure you do not want to be associated with animal cruelty.
but thats just what your doing by supporting Ringling Bro. Circus.
Ringling's animal care history is riddled with USDA violations, penalties, and warnings. Just this past summer three Ringling horses were killed, a baby elephant named Riccardo was destroyed, and a lion named Clyde died while traveling from Phoenix to Fresno when temperatures soared to over 109 degrees and the trainmaster refused repeated requests to stop the trains and water the lions.

Is this something Farm Fresh wants to be a part of? I hope not! Please end all ties with Ringling.
I for one will never step foot inside a Farm Fresh again until you are no longer
associated with Ringling Bros.I am posting this on all the forums I belong to as well.

UPDATE Not sure if it will be big enough to read, but I got a letter in the mail today from Farm Fresh saying for the most part " While The allegations by PETA have been countered by representatives of Ringling Brothers, Please know Farm Fresh would never knowingly sponsor an event practicing animal cruelty" it also said " Regardless of the accuracy of either position, we have made the business decision not to sponsor the circus in the future"

Great news John!! :D I am curious as to what convinced them to make the decision to NOT sponsor Ringing Bros. in the future. Regardless, it is good to hear that they have taken the initiative to listen. ;)
