I hope the holiday is a lovely and wonderful break for all. What are you doing? I plan to spend the extra time playing with Perky. Last night she didn't want to go back to her cage to go to sleep. It was quite tiring and amusing.

Thanks B, We are having a birthday party, for my brother and sister. It will be packed. I have a very big family and we will all be there. Then off to a fair we have here every year. All kinds of animals, its like a farmers fair. I never miss it. Perky sounds so fun and so cute! Wish I could met everyone's baby's! It would be so cool to live near each other then we all can take turns wathching everyone's baby's when we go on trips and such!

That would be so fun! But, we are all spread out :( Oh well, that's what the internet is for, I guess :-\ I'm not doing anything for the vacation, probably just take extra time with all my animals.. I gotta think of a name for my ball python, any suggestions? It's a male. I gotta do that this weekend, even though I usually just let them come up with their names. They usually always do SOMEthing the first couple of weeks that gives them their name. Lets hope so....

How about slinky? That's my best guess since I'm not a big snake fan. Anyway, for the holiday were having a barbeque and a bonfire in our yard with friends and family. But that's about it. I too will be spending time with all my critters. And of course, coming on here and talking to you all!!

We are just going to relax around our pool this holiday and have a small BBQ Monday. I miss my daughter so very much....she's away at college. This is her second year there and I still cannot get over her being away....everyone says I will eventually. Still have my son home and he's great....and of course my husband and FIDS are here to cheer me up, too.
Anyway...Emroul, if your Ball Python was a female, a fun name would be Lucille for Lucille Ball (get it...Ball Python). LOL.
Have a great holiday everyone.

I am a big I Love Lucy fan also....have been since I was very young. The names you suggested sound great for a snake.
I wish your daughter lots of luck in college....I understand how proud you are, I am of my daugher too....she is a PharmD student (Doctor of Pharmacy) in Philadelphia. She will be there 5 more years, but does come home summers and breaks, and holidays. Plus she is only 1 hour away so I can run there anytime she needs me which is of comfort...especially to me. EMT sounds like an exciting profession.
Thanks for your concern....talk to you soon.

no labor day here in egypt of course. our weekends are friday saturday (as friday is the islamic holy day per se). so the work week starts on sunday. i start in with my home school student on monday (we do monday through thursday with a 3 day weekend), and my husband is leaving for a business trip next week, so i suspect i'll be washing clothes and getting him ready for that.
have a great holiday weekend. hope you still take the time to post here!

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day, and to those of you who happen to be in Egypt or elsewhere- have a great "normal" day as well! For L.D. I might go to the Quivira National Wildlife Refuge which is an amazing place and there's always a wide variety of different birds there to see! It's awesome. Who knows, I might even take Kirby along in his cage....I think he'd enjoy it. Emroul~ I can't wait to hear what name you end up for your new little guy!

Rain rain go away.....looks like a wash out weekend here in Southern New Jersey. We had one good day and that was Friday. Yesterday we had a strong storm which yielded approx. 4 inches of rain, today is very cloudy and threatening.....still hoping Monday will turn out ok.
Have fun everyone. Looks like I will be at the Mall.

It is cool today so far, probably around 68 deg F. and has been a steady drizzle since last night. Not good for farmers that still have wheat out in the fields, but i welcome it!
Mrs B. I want to go too!!!!! ARE WE THERE YET!?!!

Don't forget me........except I'm afraid to fly. Yesterday we had a huge cookout and a bonfire and later today we're going to try to play matchmaker with 2 of our friends. Tomorrow I think I'll just sit around and try to recoup from all the company and of course talk to all of you!!

I must agree, matchmaking can be dangerous. I swore I'd never do it again. But, for the first time, it worked. I guess they're going to go out. But I'll never do it again. :0)
