I have been approached and received emails in regards to writing letters to various contacts on animal abuse. The concerns are writing an appropriate letter that will be taken into consideration and not cast off as rubish. They are having difficulties in starting with a blank screen or piece of paper and putting effective words on them. It is difficult for me to come up with a template that they will be able to edit to fit the situation they are writing for.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I tell them to put their feelings about the issue, using their own words, but try to be proactive and not slamming or hateful. Show them your concern in a polite and meaningful way.
I know there are many who would like to get involved and write, but they end up not doing it due to "blank-page" writers block.
