That's a really awful situation. I hate to see such beautiful animals get killed. I wonder why they attacked? Seeing as its a sanctuary I wonder why they don't have tranquillizers instead of bullets. Even hit with a tranquillizer dart the monkey would have let go.

Very sad.I hope that the man makes a good recovery, and that the sanctuary is not shut down.

I have been watching this story on the news and it was in the paper today. the man and his wife that were attacked were there to visit a chimp they had rescued. Two of the chimps that escaped were brought back safely but the other two were the attackers and I guess they felt had to be shot.

I feel bad for the man. The news said his one eye was ripped from it's socket (sorry if this is gross!) and his nose has to be transplanted back on. Very sad situation.

That is so sad. :( How in the world did the two get out in the first place. :confused: I can imagine the pain that poor man is going through.

Wouldn't Mr. and Mrs. Davis have to file something against the sanctuary in order for the authorities to come down on the sanctuary? The Davis' know if they do this it will endanger Moe's security, and after all, they appear to love Moe very much to visit him regularly and celebrate his birthdays.
