Amazing Grace is her name. She is the only survivor out of 6 pups that had their throats slashed by a evil person, Brannon Chandler. He is accused of this haneous crime and is due in court on March 7th, 2005. The following is a petition on behalf of the 5 that didn't make it and Amazing Grace that is still undergoing intensive care. :(

Aww she is just the sweetest thing. Story's like these bring tears to my eyes. I can't immagine how someone can hurt something as precious. Sending prayers and hugs her way. Petition signed as well!!

Oh my gosh! How could someone do such a horrible thing. I signed the Petition. Those poor babies. Magnum, do you know if she is going to make it and if so, is she going to be adopted?

Unfortunately, the wounding may have damaged Amazing Grace's larynx. The vets want to watch that injury. It could be several weeks before the full extent of the pup's injuries are known.

A Seymour police officer found a wire basket, 300 feet into woods behind the house where Chandler and the roommate (owner of the pups) lived, with the puppies inside it. Amazing Grace, so named by Seymour Veterinary Hospital staffers who attended her, was on top.
Seymour Police Capt. Paul Beres disputes other reports that Chandler attacked the puppies in response to the roommate's refusal to sell him one of them. "We're still looking into what the motivation was for Mr. Chandler to do this act," Beres said. "I've got a few officers still working on this case. It's not case closed because of the nature of the incident."

Petition signed. I really wish animal cruelty penalties were stronger and better enforced. The young man who did this should receive psychiatric counseling and be prohibited from every owning another animal. I also would not find him safe around children.

I have signed the petition, I wish we had more opportunities to help convict such people. Thanks Magnum
