Ball Python vs Braziilian Rainbow Boa

Hey-

All those snake lovers and experts out there- what's your opinion? I love Ball Pythons, but I was thinking of possibly breeding the snakes that I do get, so I would want to go with a Boa, since they have live birth (versus eggs). I could get an incubator, but it would be work I don't know that I would have time for. I love BRB's and their vibrant colors, so I'm torn in the middle. Please someone with input would be great!!!!

Personally, I would go for the BRB, Ball's are in every pet shop so there is no demand ( at least in NJ ). Plus you can get more $ for BRB, and they are well tempered. Try to get to Captive Bred adults tho, Wild Caughts often won't breed unless in optimum conditions.

There's no demand for ball pythons here in Philly either. We have 3 rescues that have been added to our orginal one.

People just throw Balls at me, like here take this. I came home to find one one on my doorstep in a box the other day. But I never get Rainbows, they are so beautiful.

thanks for the $0.02, I was definately thinking that if I go with a ball, it's gonna be a ghost, jungle, mojave, piebald, etc morph. I think they are much more beautiful looking then the typical pet store snakes. Plus, the only way to get one is to go to a high end breeder who you know takes good care of the animals, because they are the only ones with money to keep those type of projects going. Well, not always, but you basically get it, right? :-) Heck, why not just go with both?? ::I WISH::
