sparky's acting funny

as u all my know i have a parakeet named sparky. he/she (not sure :confused: ) is a real sweety and loves to play but usually isnt to hyper as u wud expect, which is normal for sparky. well i came home from school today and sparky was upsidown on the top of his/her cage jumping around peeping, running flipping and other wierd activities. then went up to a perch on her/his cage and puffed up (as tho ready to lay an egg) :confused: i put a box with soft padding in the cage so incase it is an egg sparky has a place to rest. but how can i be sure its an egg? is he/she sick? HELP ME!!

Don't worry! He sounds fine--if he was sick, he would be lethargic and would not be moving around much. Sounds like he was just playing! When they puff up their feathers that sometimes means they are relaxed or ready to go to sleep. So your bird was finished playing and decided to take a rest!
