Hi

Can anybody tell me why my keet runs up and down his perch screaming for no reason.

It happens in the morning when I take his cover off which I figured he was excited.......but can happen at anytime through the day for no apparent reason.

There is nothing wrong with him he just enjoys his own voice I guess....but I was wondering if this is a communication voice of some sort.He is very active and never sits still all day he is hanging upside down and talking and playing or bathing in his tub.......bathing is his new thing.

He isn't as interested in interacting with me like my other keet was - my first keet was very quiet never played with his toys but loved to sit with me....this one is toooooooooooo busy to be bothered with me.....he just enjoys his own company and obviously his own voice.

Thanks Cheryl

My keet does something very similar. He is also very enamoured with himself. He loves mirrors. He will sit for hours in front of the mirror "talking" to himself, I even think that he tries to feed himself. It certainly looks like he is regurgitating food. He will run back and forth from the food dish to the mirror. He is constantly chirping. Sometimes quietly, most times he is very loud. He also has no interest in interacting with me. Wish my keet was interested in bathing. He does enjoy a shower from the spray bottle though. Hope this helps.

When my keets screams and paces quickly back and forth near the cage door or runs up and down, I know he wants to come out and fly. He also screams when my wife screams at our 10 year old son.
