Here is a post from my other site about a computer virus that is going around.

well, I have had over 20 calls today with this virus so i figured I would post some info for ya. It will be noticable if your computer reboots on its own every 5-15 minutes. This is not from email or transmitted through email so you dont have to worry about directly spreading it to your friends. Symantec has made a removal tool that has been semi successful in properly removing except for on win2000 machines. Remember before trying to remove, disable system restore and clear your recycle bin and nortons protected bin if you use nortons antivirus. Get all critical updates from microsoft, and do a live update on your antivirus prog.
Here is the link to the instructions and you can download the removal prog there also. It has manual instructions wich I have found to be more successful on win2000 machines and a couople xp machines required it too.

It initiated a remote shutdown on my computer and locked me out, it even locked my keyboard so I had to use a disk with a different windows program to format the drive and re-install. It worked and withing a few hours I was back online. Is there any software available to track hackers that I can get my hands on.

Is there any way to hit a hacker back? I always kept a folder in a partitioned area of my drive that was marked visa, mastercard, amex and put in a bunch of false numbers and it contained a virus I got from a friend who taught me how to make it look appetising to hackers by adding the names of credit cards. I checked it this morning and it says that it was copied 1 time and the date was the same as when this happened. I hope whoever hacked my computer got what they deserved. I will see about getting another new virus to bottle up in another secured and quarentined folder. I never thought it would work.

I found one called hacktracer. I blocks hack attempts and traces hackers to their home location. I plan to alert the cops everytime it is successful. I am going to get it from a friend who already has it.
