I know i should have him longer but unfortuately i have 2 go 2 school and he's all alone for a while :( i would like 2 get him a buddy to talk 2 (either another parakeet, lovebird, or cockiteal) but i dont want 2 lose control of BB. what should i do??

Cozy, plush hideaways give birds a place to snuggle, nap or just hang out. They feel safe and secure, and they're protected from drafts. To enhance your bird's feelings of comfort and security, choose a color that most closely matches your bird's natural plumage.
Somthing i found on petsmart.com

The link doesn't work, but I know what you're talking about, and my lovebird ADORES his. He's a bluemasked lovebird, and I bought a blue one, and he LOVES it. I've been told that the closer you can get to the color of the bird, the better.

If you want to keep this other bird in a different cage, I have a blue masked of about 6 months that I'm looking to sell... he wouldn't be good for you if you'd want him to be in the same cage as your birds, though, as he's very territorial. He likes people, just not other birds.

If you want that bond between you and your bird I would not get a "friend" for him to play with because you will probably lose your status with him. If you want another bird keep it in a diffrent cage and let them have playtime together......you should have no problems there. Good luck!

I think it is a good idea to get him a friend BUT only put his own kind in the same cage--don't put a budgie and cockatiel together in same cage. It is best to stick with the same kind. Also, after the quarrantine period, (keep the new bird in a separate cage for about a month to make sure it doesn't have a disease or sickness), introduce them slowly outside of the cage or one inside and one outside with the cage door open.
