This is Lexie our Female Red-Sided (pretty sure she's a red-sided) Eclectus. She's 11 yrs. old. And is a sweetie. She's still a little wet in the picture from her bath this morining. Hope you like it.http://mpg.cc/perrinthebaron/dscn0723_large.jpg

How much more extotic can a bird get. Its eyes are piercing. I wish I could get my hands on such a bird. Thanks petey, the pic is awsome!

WOW Peteybird....what a beautifull girl! Our daughter is saving up and checking out breeders because she is wanting an Electus but she called the one she wants is something like an solomin or something like that :p Is Lexie and your African Grey all you have? I was looking at the photo and the cage she is in looks just like one I have. I must say you are very lucky to be able to show off this little beauty..... :)

We also have two budgies and a lovebird. The Solomon Islands Eclectus is probably what your daughter was looking into. They are a llittle smaller than Lexie. I really like the cage we got for her. Her original owner had her in a cage that would have been appropriate for a much smaller bird and it was pretty old and in pretty bad shape.

Lexie is such a pretty bird.
I looove Eclectus! She is beautiful.. glad to see there is another Ekkie on this board.. here's our Éire just because..! She's a Vosmaeri (supposively.. she might be a hybrid).. she was born with funny colored feathers.. you can see some of them in the pictures still, but she's molting out of them. She's almost a year old.

We got Lexie last April. But had been visiting her in the bird store since August. Kaye your eclectus looks beautiful!! I remember the first few pictures you posted of her when her feathers were that odd color. She sure does look good.

Oh my gosh kaye...what a beauty she has turned out to be, she was very lucky you got her that day. I was there too, that was so cool getting to meet you and see 'Eire when you bought her. My daughter was with me and told me...mom, that bird does not look right. But look how she turned out with your knowledge, the right food and lots of TLC....
