but I have added 2 new fids to my flock and wanted to share their pictures.
This is Tigger. He is 1 and half years old and I just brought him home Monday night. We're working on getting to know each other. His previous owner got rid of him because she felt she didn't have enough time to spend with him and it wasn't fair. But she also had an Umbrella 'Too. I thought they were the ones that were high maintenance.

This is Piper. I got him in November. His previous owner had to get rid of him because her young daughter developed an irrational fear of him flapping his wings. Lucky for me I guess.

Those are great pics, & I'm glad that you adopted those birds. People give all kinds of reasons for giving up their animals, & the one w/the "rrational fear of him flapping his wings" is a stupid one. Good luck w/them though. :)

They are so pretty! I agree - what type of bird is the white one?

Piper is an albino Indian Ringneck. He's called albino but he doesn't have pink eyes like you would think. He's a pretty cool bird. I had a beautiful lutino that I just loved, but she died and I have really missed her. So when the opportunity came up to rescue Piper, I couldn't pass it up. :)

Oh my, they are so beautiful!! Kudos to the woman that realized Tigger needed more attention before any health issues started. That is so awesome you adopted these birds!! They are so lucky you crossed their path. :)

Thats great MI Bird Mom. It's a great opportunity to have different experiences with birds when someone offers up for adoption. I hope you get to become good friends with your new family.:D
