Hi. This is my Zach Attack (Only his nickname!). He is 8 1/2 years old. He is my first baby as an adult living in my own home. He stills acts like a puppy and likes to get himself in trouble with the garbage can. He is starting to get arthritic but does well on most days. Poor baby. He is my baby boy and I love him to pieces.

LOL... I have a 10 year old Rott that also has some gray on her muzzle... I was thinking about trying some of my Clairol on her hehe :D . Our Labx is also 10 yrs old but you cant see much gray on him because he's the yellow lab mix.. so he doesn't need any Grecian(sp?) Formula.

Hi,
Just wanted to say I love Zach's picture. We also have a golden retriever and think they are a great breed!

I think they just know how to grow old "gracefully". To heck with that I am fighting it every step of the way. The day before, literally, I turned 30 I found my first gray hair and I plucked that baby right on out! Can you have a mid-life crisis at 30???
dlaura how old is your golden, what is his/her name? Growing up I had two goldens, mom and son. Buffy lived to be about 15 and one day she just could not get up anymore. It was very hard to say goodbye. Her son, Spencer, figured out how to open the gate, got out and was hit by a car right in front of my mom's house. I had already moved away from home and she called me at work. I had to leave and had to get counseling. I went through a lot with Buffy and Spencer. They were always there for me. They were just awesome awesome creatures. Anyway, this is supposed to be happy. Sorry, just wanted to share.
dlaura, does your golden HAVE to bring you something when you get home? Zach does. It doesn't matter if it is a sock from the laundry room, his comforter or the throw rug in the entry way. He cracks me up!!!

Ohhh... I love goldens!!! My best friend has 2 old girls, and they are the sweetest, most well behaved dogs ever. One of them has a VERY gray/white face, and the other one who is more red only has some gray. Anyway, Zach is beautiful, give him a big hug for me!

Thank you KCCaneCorsos! I will give him an extra big hug. When I ask him for a hug he sits and puts his two paws around my neck with a big goofy grin on his face.
BTW how are you feeling?

Zach is pretty. He sure is a clever boy - giving you hugs - you must be so lucky.

That is so cute that he gives hugs. :p I tried teaching Capone to do that when he was little, but it just ended up that he would jump up on me anytime, so I stopped that. LOL
I'm feeling fine! Thank you for asking! I had a dr appt yesterday, and it did NOT go well. I did not feel comfortable with her or like her so today I called and got a new dr, so hopefully everything will be ok from here on out! LOL I have started playing baby noises for the dogs, and I'm thinking about getting a doll that cries and maybe crawls, and try to get them used to being easy with the baby!

Oh sorry to hear that. I would think you would definitely want to be comfortable with your doctor seeing as you will be seeing them a lot and then well you know they deliver the baby. Good luck with that.
What did the dogs do when you played the baby noises? I think that is so cool that you can do that! Ahh, technology.
